Red Cliffs Chamber Orchestra
Introducing the new Red Cliffs Chamber Orchestra, an elite faculty/student chamber orchestra that represents a combined effort of both The Zion Youth Symphony Orchestra (ZYSO) and CMSSU.
Auditions will take place early January and are open to all. There will be three to four auditioned students per section, along with 1-2 faculty players per section who play by invite only. This is a trial run. If it is successful, then next year we will implement this as a several times a year program with participation in Zion Youth Symphony and CMSSU mandatory. The purpose of this conductor-less orchestra is to give a place for the areas top student players to have an elite performance opportunity and perform with the areas best professional musicians.
Rehearsal dates are (all mandatory):
March 29, 30, April 1, 2; 7-9:15pm
April 3, 4-5:30pm
Concert is April 3rd at 7:30pm.
All rehearsals and concerts will be at Tuacahn High School for the Performing Arts in the Hafen Theatre and are absolutely mandatory. No exceptions.
